Along the beaten path

A new blog dedicated to photos, thoughts, and recollections from my travels along the beaten path

I have traveled a lot over the years – 49 out of 50 states, a good portion of the national parks, and over 24 countries. It’s been a crazy mix of work, family vacations, and even photo escapes. Through all of this time, I’ve tried to see and do interesting things wherever I am. I’ve also spent many hours finding nice photogenic scenes as well – either as the point of the trip (e.g. Yosemite, Death Valley, Great Wall, etc.) or simply looking around where I have ended up. Most of my travels have been to fairly typical travel or vacation destinations – I’m not typically trying to get to far ‘off’ the beaten path.

Putting these together – I’ve got a huge collection of pictures, thoughts, and experiences from my travels to fill a blog of content found along the beaten path. I’m not done traveling either. Perhaps you may find some places unusual, maybe many of you have never visited these locations – but the point of this blog is to share images, thoughts, and things you might want to check out if you go visiting the same places. I’ll be writing about places to go for visiting beautiful photo locations, thoughts on cycling, places to find good food, tips on watching soccer/football (think futbol, but some American football might slip in as well), and more.

If you’re looking for travel inspiration, some photo ideas, or things to go do, then keep coming back as I share photos, thoughts, and recollections from my travels along the beaten path.

P.S. feel free to check out new posts on my IG account for this site as well.
